Flat Plaques
Problem solved! Flat plaques no longer a headache.
“Using the new and absolutely brilliant Craig’s Gold. Excellent results, looks beautiful!” Jeremy Greener, Greener Grave Care.
These before and after images perfectly illustrate one of the key advantages of Craig’s Gold Leaf. Creating, caring for and renovating flat grave plaques is now easier, more effective and gives better, longer lasting results than ever before.
When we first introduced our Craig’s range to memorial masons, the first question they would ask was “Will it work on flat plaques?” We soon realised that this is an interminable problem. Lying flat, the letter cells gather every bit of harmful debris, leaves, rainwater, lichen, and allow them to sit there, attacking the gold leaf or paint, and very quickly ruining the appearance. And if the plaque is situated in a damp, shady spot beneath trees for example, it will weather even faster. Customers soon complain that their plaque looks old and dirty, and if they try to clean it, they find the colour in the letters is tarnished or worse, coming off.
Craig’s Gold Leaf and all other Craig’s products do not suffer from this problem. It’s possible to leave a stone painted with Craig’s Gold Leaf submerged in water for months without affecting the brilliance of the gold effect. It doesn’t tarnish, nor degrade, and assuming suitable non–abrasive cleaners are used, it won’t rub off when you try to clean or dry it.
The fine print
The Craig’s range of memorial coatings is especially good for fine serif, or shallow cell inscriptions. Thanks to the incredible adhesion of our speciality oil-based formulation, coupled with optimised pigment structure, Craig’s products are easily and quickly applied to the finest detailed inscriptions, and they stay there. Save time, produce great results and deliver outstanding customer satisfaction with the Craig’s range of memorial coatings!
“I used it for the first time this week to paint some artwork on a marble headstone and was very impressed with it, especially the coverage and finish… I will certainly be placing an order”
